Claims Processing Procedures


     Please obtain the customer’s Agreement Identification Card or copy of the customer’s Service Agreement before contacting Diamond Warranty to open a claim. Make sure that vehicle identification numbers match the number on the customer’s card and that the service agreement or warranty is still in effect by time and mileage.

      Obtain written authorization from the vehicle owner to diagnose or inspect the vehicle for the exact cause of the failure and estimate the entire time and cost of repair.

     WHAT YOU MUST DO BEFORE STARTING REPAIRS:

     Call Diamond Warranty Claims Department to obtain an authorization prior to any work being performed on the vehicle. Unauthorized claims will not be covered or paid.


     Customer is responsible to pay the repair facility for their deductible and any applicable state sales tax. Customer assumes all responsibility for the cost of any unauthorized repairs that are performed on the vehicle.

     Claims will be paid upon completion of authorized repairs. The repair facility must forward all invoices with authorization recorded on each invoice to Diamond Warranty within 45 days of date of the repair.




IMPORTANT DEALER AND CONSUMER INFORMATION



TERM 
     The Service Agreement will be in effect from the date the Service Agreement is purchased, providing payment is received and accepted by Diamond Warranty. The Service Agreement will remain in effect until otherwise cancelled, terminated, voided or until expiration by time or mileage limitation identified on the Service Agreement.

OUR OBLIGATION
     Prior authorization must be obtained from Diamond Warranty before any work is done to Your vehicle. Unauthorized repairs will not be approved for payment. Diamond Warranty agrees to pay the repair facility for the repair or replacement of a covered component failure less the deductible selected on the Service Agreement. At Diamond Warranty's discretion, we will repair or replace the covered component with parts of like kind and quality that may be new, rebuilt, serviceable used parts. Payment will only be approved if you have met all obligations outlined in the Service Agreement.


STATED COVERED COMPONENTS
     The Service Agreement covers only stated covered components listed on the Service Agreement. Any part or component not listed is not covered by the Service Agreement.

DEDUCTIBLE CHOICE
     Deductible per visit shall be based on the selection chosen on the Service Agreement. A $100.00 deductible will apply if no deductible has been selected.

RENTALS
      Reimbursement of $30.00 per day for a maximum of five (5) days in the event of a covered component failure that requires more than ten (10) hours of labor based on ALL DATA Labor Rate Guide.

TRANSFERS 
     (Fee $100)  Agreement Holder's Vehicle Service Agreement, while in-force, may be transferred by the original Agreement Holder to the subsequent owner of the vehicle. The Transfer Application may be obtained from the selling Dealership/Entity. Refer to Special State Requirements.

RENEWAL 
     (Fee $50)  Must be done by selling dealer. Copy of the ORIGINAL Service Agreement must be attached to the renewal agreement and the vehicle must meet all Diamond Warranty’s Dealer Guidelines at time of renewal. Diamond Warranty has the right to accept/reject any renewal request. Renewal requests must be submitted 30 Days or 1000 miles prior to expiration by going back to The Selling Dealership and renew your contract.  You can not upgrade the existing contract coverage selection.

CANCELLATIONS
      ($50 service charge)  Only in the event that your vehicle is declared a “total loss” or stolen by your insurance company, or if your vehicle is repossessed by the service agreement holder’s lender, will the administrator and the dealer refund a portion of the service agreement price.  The Dealer is responsible to refund his portion of any profit above dealer cost of the contract. We shall refund a portion of the amount received by us from the dealer to you or the lien holder. We shall calculate the amount to be returned by us by prorating the amount paid to us by the dealer based on the remaining time or mileage on the service agreement and deduct any claims paid by us. All cancellations must be requested through the selling dealer. Cancellation refunds will be processed within 45 days of receipt of completed paperwork.

LIMITS OF LIABILITY
     Diamond Elite Powertrain Coverage:  The limits of liability per claim under the terms of this agreement are as follows: Engine $1,500, Transmission $1,200, Transfer case $1,000, All other components, $1,000. Towing maximum $75.00 per breakdown. The total liability for the full term of this contract shall not exceed a maximum payout of accumulated claims of $5,000 over the chosen term of your selected coverage. Deductible $100.00 per covered component breakdown. Limit of Liability Diamond Elite Plus Coverage: The limits of liability per claim under the terms of this agreement on 3 & 6 month contracts are as follows: Engine $2,000, Transmission $2,000, All other components, $1,500. Towing maximum $75.00 per breakdown. The total liability for the full term of this contract shall not exceed a maximum payout of accumulated claims of $6,000 over the chosen term of your selected coverage. Diamond Elite Plus Coverage and Diamond Elite Enhanced Coverage 12, 24, 36, 48 month terms:  Our Liability for repairs shall in no event exceed the Actual Cash Value of Your Vehicle. Actual Cash Value is defined as the NADA published average trade in value of Your Vehicle on the date of loss, taking age, vehicle condition and mileage into consideration. Aggregate - The total of all benefits paid or payable while this Agreement in force shall not exceed the NADA trade in price You paid for Your Vehicle (excluding tax, title and license fees). 5/100 Powertrain Plus Coverage begins 30 days or 1,000 miles from the date of receipt by the Administrator, Diamond Warranty Corporation.The limits of liability of the terms of this contract are as follows: Engine $2000, Transmission $1200, Transfer case $1,000, All other components, $1,000. The total liability for the full term of this contract shall not exceed a maximum payout of accumulated claims of $5000 or the retail value of the vehicle at the time of occurance which ever is less. Deductible $100.00 per covered component.
